Join us at our upcoming information evening and discover more about opportunities to work within health at Tongariro Prison, including roles in Hikitia - a regional mental health and addictions service across Waikato prisons.

Hikitia delivers a holistic, multi‑disciplinary approach to support people with mental health and addiction needs within the prison environment. Roles include clinical positions such as mental health nurses and alcohol and drug clinicians, as well as Kairuruku Hinengaro (Māori mental health practitioners), Hikitia support broker Māori (Māori mental health support workers) and Hikitia education tutor roles.

Our team will be available on the night to provide more information about careers at Corrections, answer your questions, and guide you through the recruitment process.
